Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions from travelers and agencies.
For travelers
Do I pay DestyFinder or the agency?
You pay only the agency that organizes the tour, on their terms. DestyFinder does not collect or handle payments — we only connect you with the agency.
What do GROUP and PRIVATE tours mean?
A GROUP tour means you join an existing group the agency runs, so the price per person is usually lower. A PRIVATE tour is organized just for your group (family, friends, colleagues), so the total price is higher but the schedule is more flexible. The tour type is shown with every offer.
How do I book a tour?
On the tour page, click “Book”. A form opens where you enter your name, contact and date. The inquiry goes straight to the agency, which replies by email or phone with the details and confirmation instructions.
How quickly does the agency reply, and what if it doesn't?
Response time depends on the agency and the season. If your trip is urgent, the fastest way is to call the phone number listed with the tour. If you don't get a reply within 48 hours, write to us at info@destyfinder.com and we'll help you find another agency offering a similar tour.
What if the weather turns bad or the agency cancels?
The cancellation policy for weather conditions is set by the agency itself. Usually an alternative date or a refund is offered, but the rules vary, especially for outdoor tours like rafting, canyoning and hiking. Before paying, we recommend confirming with the agency how cancellations due to rain, snow or poor conditions are handled.
Is it safe?
The contact between you and the agency is direct, and when an agency registers we check that the application isn't a bot or spam. Before paying, we recommend confirming the basics with the agency, such as the meeting point, what's included, the payment method and the cancellation policy.
Can I cancel or change a reservation?
The cancellation policy depends on the agency. On each tour page you'll see a FLEXIBLE, MODERATE or STRICT label. The details are arranged with the agency directly.
Can I save a tour to view later?
Yes. Click the heart icon on any tour and find your saved tours in your profile under “Saved tours”. You need to be signed in.
For agencies and guides
How much does it cost to be on DestyFinder?
Registering an agency and publishing tours are free — no membership fee, no commission on tours and no hidden costs.
How do I sign up as an agency?
On the “Become a partner” page, click “Register agency”. You fill in basic details about your agency, our team reviews the application and activates the account, usually within 24–48 hours.
How do I receive inquiries?
You receive inquiries in two ways: by email with all the details and the traveler's contact information, and as a list inside the agent panel on DestyFinder, where you can track which inquiries have been handled.
Are the inquiries real?
We have several layers of spam protection: email verification when a user registers, rate limiting on forms and honeypot fields. The goal is for real inquiries to reach you, not automated messages.
How are my tours promoted?
All active tours appear in the relevant categories and locations, are included in the sitemap for Google, and show up in search. We don't do paid ranking; ranking is based on profile completeness, photo quality and agency activity.
Can I edit a tour after it's published?
Yes, at any time. In the agent panel, click the tour and the “Edit” option. Changes are visible immediately.
What if I want to leave the platform?
You can deactivate your tours or delete your agency at any time. Send a request to info@destyfinder.com and we'll process it within a reasonable time.
