Tours and activities in Ulcinj

Ulcinj is Montenegro's southernmost point and its most culturally diverse — more than three centuries under Ottoman rule left a mark on the architecture and cuisine. The biggest draw is Long Beach (13 km of sand, the longest on the Adriatic), followed by the Old Town with its fortress and the Salina — a globally significant reserve for migratory birds.

The season is May–September; Long Beach is busiest in July and August but offers plenty of space even off-peak. Many visitors combine Ulcinj with trips to Skadar Lake (35 min away) and Sveti Stefan.

What is the Salina, and can I visit it?

Is Long Beach suitable for families?

Yes, it's sandy with a very shallow entry into the sea — good even for young children. Different sections have different concepts (quiet family zones and zones for nightlife).

Can I take a day trip to Albania from Ulcinj?

Yes, the border is 5 km away. There are organized day tours to Shkodër (Albania) and toward Tirana — bring your passport/ID.
